It is on a rather negative note that the Casablanca Stock Exchange begins the month of September with a session that opened, evolved, to end down.

Indeed, this Friday was a rather dull day for the Casa Stock Exchange which saw all its indices sink into negative territory. Starting with the MASI and the MASI 20, which both fell by 0.56%, posting 11,886.92 points for the main index, and 961.34 points for the one comprising the 20 most liquid stocks. Same story for the MASI ESG, heavily depreciated by 0.96% to 888.43 points. The only note of satisfaction on the board is the index of small and medium caps, MASI Mid and small cap, which rose by 0.20% to 971.06 points.

On the transaction side, investors showed dynamism, bringing the volume of trade on the central market to 161,086,283.09 MAD. It should be noted that it is the real estate sector that has generated the most appeal. So much so that at the head of the biggest upward variations, sits Addoha, with an increase of 5.93% to 12.14 DH. The real estate specialist is followed on this indicator by Promopharm SA which saw its value climb by +3.96%, and HPS for its part gained 3.68%. In poor performance, Jet Contractor, Sothema and Sanlam Morocco marked the largest declines at, respectively, -5.99%, -5.94% and -5.35%.

In terms of the flow of transactions on securities, Addoha pulled out of the game, exchanging for more than 60 MDH, corresponding to 5,052,683 securities. It is supported by Alliances which sold 192,369 shares. And third place on this indicator goes to TGCC with 49,765 shares.

At the final bell, there were more stocks down than up, with 11 remaining unchanged. Ultimately, note that despite this decline, the MASI recorded a slightly positive weekly variation of +0.09%.
